Inspiration From The Distant Past
Found note in an old book... warms the cockles of my bookish heart...

Oh how I love books! The heft of a book, the fragrance and texture of the pages...

Reading is a very organic and ritualistic experience for me. Believe I will delve more into the ritual in a future post.

For now, let me say that this won't be a typical book blog with critical (criticizing) reviews of books or authors. Don't expect deep literary analysis of books. Just musings on reading and all that entails: beloved books, new books, libraries, bookstores, authors, favorite quotes and passages, tea, reading spots, flights of fancy and, of course, the quest for Mrs. Baja...

  1. I think I'm going to be a frequent visitor of your blog. Wonderful perspective you have, and your writing itself is refreshing. ALSO, love the quotes, all of them; yours', Marx's and Confucius'!

  2. Lesa is very clever...I actually have the feeling her reviews might be better than the book. All her writing needs is a spine & a dust jacket! lol.

...and oh, please, please post a list of "signs that tell you're waaaay too addicted to books..."

Now that I most certainly want to read;-)

  3. Stop, you two! I'm blushing! Actually, Right back at you both--- We may have to start a mutual admiration society! ;D

Good idea, Rhonda. I got a kick out of your 'signs' -- but you know, some of mine will be dittos of yours and I bet DeLynne's would be, as well. The Bookworm gene can't be denied!!
